What are Direct Airport Transfers operating hours?

We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days per week including all Public Holidays. When booking online, please allow up to 48 hours notice prior to your planned departure or arrival.

What are Direct Airport Transfers office hours?

We are open from 8:00am to 6:30pm seven days a week. Last minute bookings can ONLY be made during these hours.

Which destinations do you offer your transfers to?

We offer transfers to both the Gold Coast and Brisbane Domestic and International Airports, all hotels and cruise ship terminals. We can also provide you with a variety of different transfer options on request.

Do you provide any additional services to locations not listed on your website?

What is a Private Transfer?

When you book with our company you are the only booking for that time slot. Our exclusive private service is just for you and anyone else in your family or group. If a member of your group would like to be picked up or dropped off at another address we can also arrange this at no extra cost, provided they are in the same suburb, otherwise there is a fee of $20 to pickup or drop off at a different suburb. At no time do we ever do multiple pickups or drop offs where you have to share with strangers, thereby ensuring your trip is as quick and comfortable as possible.

Is it possible to share my transfer with family or friends?

Yes. Our exclusive private service caters for you and anyone else in your family or group. If a member of your group would like to be picked up or dropped off at another address we can also arrange this at no extra cost, provided they are in the same suburb, otherwise there is a $20 fee to be picked up or dropped off in a different suburb.

How do you manage multiple flight arrivals for a group?

When making your booking please nominate the last flight due to land as the reference flight for the driver, with the passenger on that flight as the primary person for the booking, remembering to include their mobile number. The reason for this is because the airports have parking restrictions when picking up passengers. Please also add the preceding flight information and passenger details into the “Additional Information” Box on your booking form just in case the flight is delayed so the driver is aware of the situation. The driver will contact the last passenger arriving before proceeding into the terminal to collect your group.

How much does a transfer cost?

Please refer to our Home page and follow the three easy steps. A quote will be automatically generated for you, and then you can proceed with your booking.

Are Direct Airport Transfers affordable?

Yes. Our rates are very competitive compared to other companies.

When will I receive confirmation of my booking?

Once you have made the booking a confirmation booking will be emailed to you. 48 hours prior to your pick up time you will also receive a booking confirmation itinerary with all details including your driver’s name and mobile contact number. You will also receive an SMS reminder the evening prior to your transfer.

How do I know if my booking time is available?

Please make a “booking request” online. You will either receive immediate confirmation or if your booking is during a busier period we will contact you within 1 business hour to confirm your booking.

What if I need to cancel my booking?

Cancellations are subject to the following terms:

  • If a cancellation is received more than 24 hours prior to booking time a full 100% refund will be given.
  • If a cancellation is received less than 24 hours of booking time a 50% refund will be given.
  • If we do not receive an advice of cancellation from you or you fail to board then there will be 0% refund.

If we live in NSW what time zone do you operate under?

As we are based in Queensland and all the local airports and cruise terminals run on Queensland times then we do as well to save any confusion. When daylight savings is in place you MUST always subtract an hour to be in line with Queensland times. i.e. if your pickup time is 3:00pm Queensland time it will actually be 4:00pm in NSW time. Don’t panic as our driver will always contact you the day prior to clarify this.

What method of payments are accepted?

We accept the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express. You can also pay cash to the driver on the day of transfer. All transactions are processed in Australian Dollars and we do not charge any fees.

Do you charge any extra costs for late night pick-ups and public holidays?

Yes, for all pick-ups between 9:00pm and 05:30am there is an extra surcharge of $30 for local Gold Coast transfers, or an extra surcharge of $50 for Brisbane or Byron Bay transfers. We also charge a $50 flat fee for all transfers on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day (if we are open).

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Direct Airport Transfers always aim to pick you up at the pre-arranged time and we will endeavour to do so. Our drivers have access to live flight status updates so we are normally aware of any delays and can accommodate you accordingly. However, we accept no responsibility for traffic conditions or mechanical breakdowns beyond our control. Customers should try to advise us of any changes to their flight schedule if possible and we will do everything in our power to meet your needs. However, if the delays are lengthy alternative arrangements for transfers may have to be made due to our commitments. We reserve the right to use contracted drivers/vehicles for this purpose.

Why does Direct Airport Transfers require my flight details?

All flight details, including airline carrier, arrival and departure times, and return dates and times, assist us with ensuring that all passengers are collected in a timely and efficient manner, This also assists us with the cross checking procedure of all passenger details.

Where do I meet my driver at Gold Coast Domestic Airport?

Your driver will meet you 15 minutes after your scheduled landing time on the other side of the Domestic Arrival doors, inside the terminal. Your driver will be waiting for you with a welcome sign with your name on it. If your flight is early, please remain in this area and ensure your mobile phone is turned on.

Where do I meet my driver at Gold Coast International Airport?

Your driver will meet you 30 minutes after your scheduled landing time near the Customs exit, inside the terminal. When you exit the customs area into the waiting lounge, your driver will meet you with a welcome sign with your name on it. If your flight is early, please remain in this area and ensure your mobile phone is turned on.

Where do I meet my driver at Brisbane Domestic Airport?

Your driver will meet you 15 minutes after your scheduled landing time just next to the luggage carousel, inside the terminal. Your driver will be waiting for you with a welcome sign with your name on it. If your flight is early, please remain in this area and ensure your mobile phone is turned on.

Where do I meet my driver at Brisbane International Airport?

Your driver will meet you 30 minutes after your scheduled landing time just outside the Customs exit, inside the terminal. When you exit the customs area please walk through the sliding glass doors and turn left towards the Coffee Club. Your driver will be waiting for you with a welcome sign with your name on it. If your flight is early, please remain in or near the Coffee Club and ensure your mobile phone is turned on.

What is the maximum number of passengers per transfer?

Our vehicle capacity is seven passengers, however we have the ability to cater for larger groups and will personalise transfers to your needs.

Does Direct Airport Transfers cater for children?

Yes. We provide complimentary child restraints consisting of rear facing, forward facing and booster seats.

How much luggage am I allowed to carry on board?

For each transfer we allow up to 1 piece of checked luggage and 1 piece of carry on luggage for each travelling passenger. If you are bringing more pieces of luggage such as a surfboard or extra suitcases, please let us know prior to the date of travel so we can accommodate your needs.

Are there any charges for excess luggage?

No. There are no charges for luggage, even if you have excess luggage and require a trailer.

Are we allowed to drink or smoke in the vehicle?

No. All transfers are non-smoking due to Government regulations. Smoking or the consumption of alcohol is illegal in passenger vehicles by Queensland Law.
